Hon Kho's Enchanting Seaweed Forest

Captured through the lens of Hanoi-based photographer Hoang Duong, the scenic seaweed season at Hon Kho beach in Nhon Hai commune, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province, emerges as a mesmerizing and alluring sight.

According to Hoang Duong, the period from late May to mid-July marks the seaweed season at Hon Kho, where the receding sea level unveils a vibrant underwater world, showcasing an awe-inspiring spectacle through the crystal-clear waters.

With careful timing, Hoang Duong dedicated significant time to capture the moment when the sea level was at its lowest, revealing a flourishing bed of seaweed. "Luckily, it was a sunny day with clear water. I tirelessly snapped photos between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to obtain satisfactory shots," Hoang Duong shared.

Hon Kho sea boasts a diverse underwater ecosystem and dense coral population, attracting numerous visitors to explore its surprising beauty. Kayaking on the sea, one can experience the sensation of walking through a "golden field," with the clear blue sea water below and golden apricot trees gracefully swaying with the tide.

"This location also features a unique 500-meter road that stretches across the sea, providing convenient access to the stunning clusters of seaweed. For photographers, the seaweed harvest season at Hon Kho presents a 'golden opportunity' to capture magnificent photos," added Hoang Duong.
